Characteristics and inspection methods:

① Anatomy or flaw detection inspection, the hole shape is irregular, not smooth, the surface is dark; ② large and concentrated for small shrinkage and scattered for shrinkage.

Cause:

① During the solidification process of the casting, holes are caused due to shrinkage and no metal compensation is obtained; ② The pouring temperature is too high, and the mold temperature gradient distribution is unreasonable; ③ The injection ratio is low, and the pressurization pressure is too low; ④ The inner gate is thin, the area is too small, and premature solidification is not conducive to pressure transmission and molten metal replenishment; ⑤ There are hot joints on the casting structure or the section changes violently; ⑥ The pouring amount of molten metal is too small, the remaining material is too thin to feed.

Processing method:

① Reduce the pouring temperature and shrinkage; ② Increase the injection specific pressure and pressurization pressure to improve the compactness; ③ Modify the in-gate to make the pressure transfer better, which is conducive to the liquid metal feeding effect; ④ Change the casting structure to eliminate the metal accumulation part and make the wall thickness as uniform as possible; ⑤ Accelerate the cooling of thick parts; ⑥ Thicken the material handle by 15~30mm to increase the feeding effect.
